geekandgorgeous ha5rich serum skinjoyedbyana

Back with another review for @geekandgorgeous and this time I’ll be sharing my experience using the HA5 Rich Serum.

Product description:

This is a serum suitable for all skin types and ideal for normal to dry skin types. It is formulated with 5 forms of hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights to hydrate, soften and plump the skin.

Key ingredients:

• Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer: cross-linked hyaluronic acid with water binding and moisturizing abilities several times greater than hyaluronic acid.

•Sodium Hyaluronate: salt-form of hyaluronic acid that can be found in larger and smaller molecular weight in the formula.

•Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid: smaller molecular weight version of Hyaluronic Acid, known for its ability to reinforce the skin’s natural barrier.

•Panthenol: soothing, moisturizing and skin-protecting benefits.

•Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract: water-binding abilities, containing Glucuronic acid, which is one of the building blocks of Hyaluronic Acid.

My experience:

If you’ve been around for a while and checked some of my previous reviews, then you probably noticed I love HA in skincare and that I’ve tried various types of products formulated with HA so far. It’s an ingredient that some love and some stay away from because what is tricky with products formulated with HA is that, in my humble experience, some of them either take a long time to absorb, while others leave a sticky, greasy or tacky feeling behind without actually being that moisturizing.

Luckily, this GG HA5 Rich Serum ticks all of my requirements for a hyaluronic acid serum. It feels light on my skin, yet really moisturizing at the same time. The texture is a very lightweight and liquid-y type of serum that takes shorter to absorb than other similar serums I’ve tried without being too sticky or greasy (my T zone gets oilier and shinier during summer, and never once did this serum feel too heavy on my skin – I used it alternately during my AM/PM routine)

It really does what it states and I love how you get the best quality-price ratio for it. This might be a 30 ml bottle with a dropper, but you don’t need an excessive amount of product to get good results (and it only costs € 8.50, which I think is awesome)

Overall I’m really impressed with the way this serum performs for my skin and I’m already thinking of getting another bottle once this one is finished.
