A while ago I talked about how much I enjoyed using the Cacao Mild and Moist Serum by Benton. I just knew I had to give their toner a try, too. So, after incorporating the Cacao Mild and Moist Toner by Benton in my daily skincare routine, I am back with a full review of my experience using it in the last couple of weeks.
Product claims: Benton’s Cacao Mild and Moist Toner is a lightweight and hydrating toner. With Cacao Extracts and Hyaluronic Acid, this toner replenishes moisture to skin. Various botanical extracts in the toner further help to keep skin smooth.
Key Ingredients:
โข 3 types of Cocoa Extracts: keeps skin soft and supple;
โข Hyaluronic Acid: locks in skin moisture;
โข Willow Bark Extract: sebum control, reduces redness and swelling, provides gentle exfoliation;
โขMadecassoside (ingredient derived from the everpopular Centella Asiatica): soothing and anti-inflammatory effects.
The toner comes in a 150 ml (5.07 fl oz) bottle and a beautifully designed 100% biodegradable sugar cane box to protect the environment. The texture is clear, runny as water, unscented (yes, no cocoa scent there😄) and incredibly lightweight.
Regardless, it still provides good hydration and can be a great addition to those using the 7 skin method. Great for layering. I enjoy using it especially during my AM routine and performs great during the warm season for my combination to dry skin type. It’s free of fragrance or alcohol. Vegan and cruelty free.
I did not experience any redness or irritations using it. Judging by the ingredients list, the formula feels safe for all skin types. As much as I am enjoying this toner now during the hot season thanks to its lightweight formula, I have yet to experience its benefits during the cold season (that’s when my skin gets drier, especially my cheeks) as that is the period of the year when I lean towards more hydrating toners. For now, I’d say it’s a winner for this summer and I’ll wholeheartedly continue using it.
